Jens is comdivision's architect for desktop, working with virtual desktops since the first release of VMware View (VMware VDM) in 2007. His first experience with ESX 2.0 was back in 2003 and he has accumulated extensive experience with nearly all VMware technologies such as the vRealize Suite and NSX since then.He holds most VMware certifications (VCDX, VCIX, VCAP and VCPs) and is also working as an VMware Certified Instructor Level 2. Beside his excellent VMware knowledge he also holds certifications from other vendors (Microsoft). Jens also worked with the comdivision team to deliver the initial vCloud Automation Center trainings to VMware MFPI partners. He also delivered an architects workshop for early adopter partners on vCAC 6.0.
Recently Jens is actively helping other VMware enthusiasts to achieve the VCDX certification by mentoring them during the process and also tries to establish the EUC and especially the Workspace One knowledge around the globe by creating materials and training partners. Jens is a vExpert since 2015 and a EUC Champion since 2018.

I just got engaged in a customer project for Workspace ONE. This European customer wants to lower his TCO on mobile devices, as they currently hand out many Notebooks to their employees and Windows Notebook require a lot of management from the customer side. So they raised the question if it is possible to include Chromebooks in their environment and to fully manage them with their MDM solution – VMware Workspace ONE UEM.
With the use of VMware Workspace ONE UEM we have two options of management:
- Container management (We are only able to manage Settings and Content within a protected Container)
- Full system management (We are managing the whole System and all Content and Settings on it)
The customer decided to have the full system management so we have to incorporate Google Chrome Enterprise, as this solution combines the management capabilities of Google and VMware to easy and fully manage a Chrome Device.Read More
